For the EGD Collective, I often developed flyers for in-person events and posts for our social media! Our color palette hosts a majorly purple theme, with pops of vibrant colors. Part of my exploration with the creation of graphics was how to intertwine creativity and expression while being able to maintain the purpose of why we post.

Posting real time photos of visitors at our events would gain the most traction, so I experimented with how to add graphic elements to photos I and others captured. This was to find a blend that would represent EGD Collective with its integration of creativity and engagement amongst the community. After editing photos with Adobe Photoshop, I would use Canva or Figma to finalize simple graphics. For illustration-based posts, I utilized Clip Studio Paint.

For Waffle Games 8.0, EGD Collective was given the amazing opportunity to be sponsored by Sprite! To advertise the brand on socials, I animated a short clip of our mascot and Sprite cans in a Duck-Hunt inspired scene to demonstrate the collaboration. I used Asperite to animate!

While I interned at Art Beyond Sight, a non-profit dedicated to uplifting disabled artists, I created graphics for flyers and social media posts that were meant to advertise events and parades. Simple designs with clear messaging was the route to take for many of these creations, since that would provide the most accessibility for those with reading and/or sight impairments. I learned what fonts were most readable for our audiences, and utilized color contrast checkers to ensure that color layering for designs were clear and concise.

Illustration II

For my Illustration II class, we were assigned to create visual representation of the zodiac signs. I wanted to experiment with humanized versions of the zodiac signs, and demonstrate these ideas in sticker or profile picture form. With the complexity of the designs, I ensured that designs were clear with writing and imagery needed to display the individual zodiac signs. I created color compositions, various sketches, and ideated typefaces.
